Mentoring Program
Many relationships between Bigs and Littles fall under our Community-Based programs. These are one-to-one outings and activities, doing things they enjoy together, like:
1. Taking a walk in the park
2. Going to the museum
3. Inspiring each other
4. Engage in academic studies
5. Hanging out and talking
Mentors and youths can choose to schedule a meeting with one of the Volunteers Coordinator.
College Volunteer Services
Currently enrolled college students are eligible to become mentors to youth in the communities while being enrolled in our College Volunteer Services. In our program college students can receive community service hours from their college by doing some of the following:
- Become a Big
- Enroll in College Readiness Course
- Volunteer with Field Trips
- Host a special extracurricular after school activity
Some Events We Offer
We are BIG on making sure our kids are exposed and are engaged in endless activities around them. Listed below are some of the few events and field trips we take in with our mentoring program:
- Bowling with Fun
- Movement with Skates
- Winter Ball
- Guided Tour of Charleston
- Youth Conferences
- Youth Talent Show
- Retreats
- Spring Recognition Ball
